Suvndu’s warning at Falta: West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari gave a strong message to the followers of ‘Pushpa’ Jahangir Khan standing in Falta. While visiting the welfare camp in Falta on Wednesday (extended by one day), the Chief Minister said, ‘Let me say it clearly, do not take the law into your own hands, this government will not leave. This government will not leave anyone. When I was serving a sister at this welfare camp a while ago, she told me with tears in her eyes that you have saved the vermilion on my head. The DGP is a witness. It hurts us to hear this in a free country.’

BJP government will teach everyone, shouts Shuvendur

He further said, “I gave you my word – as a result, the rule of law has been established. The ruler’s law will not apply here. Hooliganism, militancy, land grabbing – we will not allow any of these in the future. Vote grabbing is a thing of the past. Rest assured, no matter how many mafias and dons there are, the state government led by the Bharatiya Janata Party will do its best to teach them a lesson.”

In that vein, the Chief Minister also mentioned Tuesday’s incident. It has been alleged that an attempt was made to attack the police station on Tuesday under the leadership of Jahangir’s wife. However, the protesters fled in the face of action by the police and central forces. Raising that incident, Shuvendu said, ‘Here some people led by the wife of a mafia went to attack the police and paramilitary forces.’
