Mahua on TMC Rebel MPs: Rs 15 crore is being spent to bribe Uddhav Thackeray camp MPs. Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray camp) leader Sanjay Raut has made such an explosive allegation. Trinamool Congress MP from Krishnanagar Mahua Maitra has opened her mouth about it. Referring to the rebel MPs of Trinamool, she said, ‘For only Rs 15 crore? Why are you going cheap? I believe that ours got Rs 4 crore directly. And (they will get) Rs 1 crore monthly for the remaining 36 months (as MPs)….loss plus money.’
History of Trinamool rebel MPs
Although the rebel Trinamool MPs have not commented on Mahua’s sarcasm for now, they have not joined the BJP-led NDA alliance, even though they met West Bengal Chief Minister Shuvendu Adhikari and BJP leader Bhupendra Yadav in Delhi before announcing their intention to merge with the Nationalist Citizens Party of India (NCPI). Instead, they have claimed that they will merge with the virtually non-existent party NCPI and support the BJP-led NDA alliance.
Sanjay demands Rs 50 crore offer from MPs
Meanwhile, in the case of Maharashtra, Uddhav has claimed that crores of rupees are being spent on changing the party of his camp’s MPs. On Wednesday, during a press conference with leaders like Arvind Sawant, Anil Desai, Rajabhau Wazed, Uddhav camp leader Sanjay said, “I received a call from an important person. He told me that the MPs have been offered Rs 50 crore. Rs 15 crore will be given as an advance. MPs are being bought and sold in Maharashtra.”
6 MPs absent from Uddhav’s meeting
And the speculation of the Uddhav Shiv Sena’s parliamentary party breaking up started from Tuesday evening. A couple of days ago, Uddhav called a meeting at his residence in Mumbai, but only four out of the nine MPs of Shiv Sena (Uddhav Shiv Sena) attended. Sena leaders of Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena camp claim that the six MPs may form a rebel group. And it has been claimed that Shinde may write a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla to merge with the Shiv Sena camp.
